  • A serial founder with strong operational experience, Katie has managed a portfolio of 17 deep tech ventures, including overseeing fundraising, governance, venture and investor relations as Partner at Cambridge Future Tech. She has overseen over £9m in VC fundraising for portfolio companies, built new Governance and Talent functions, led multiple SPVs and managed the setup of Future Tech VC, including its regulatory and strategic development. An expert in PR and strategic communications, Katie previously founded and scaled KUCO and KUCO Tech—achieving strong revenue growth and building extensive experience in stakeholder management and corporate communications across retail, technology and venture sectors.

  • A former RAF fighter pilot and senior executive at BAE Systems, Owen brings over a decade of technical and operational leadership across defence and advanced technology. As CEO and Founder of Cambridge Future Tech, he leads the company’s strategy, fundraising and venture creation efforts. Under his leadership, CFT has built 17 deep tech startups valued at over £60m, securing £12m in private investment, £4.2m in grants and creating more than 80 skilled jobs.Before founding CFT, Owen served as General Manager for Advanced Technology Solutions at BAE Systems, responsible for strategic planning, operations and UK sovereign capability in advanced materials, and previously led major international training programmes worth over £250m. His background combines deep technical understanding with commercial execution and fundraising experience.
